My name is Sarah, the most astonishing ability I posses is being able to make bad puns out of most situations. Unfortunately, Alyson has a pun jar. I blog spn, homestuck, wtnv, free!,DW,and sherlock mostly. Feel free to ask me anything.

no one has pointed out how hypocritical Cecil was when he told Steve he couldn’t come into the station because he wasn’t a radio professional even though pretty much everyone else in town did like ten minutes earlier

I’ve seen a few fashion posts trying to expand the “Marie Antoinette is not Victorian” rant, but this stuff can get complicated, so here is a semi-comprehensive list so everyone knows exactly when all of these eras were.

Please note that this is very basic and that there are sometimes subcategories (especially in the 17th century, Jacobean, Restoration, etc)

And people wonder WHY I complain about History/Art History periodization. Note how much overlap there is to the above “eras”, and how many exceptions and extensions there are to these categories.

Oh, and by the way…

The first 3 minutes of In The Flesh was all it took for me to be hooked. Give it a peek, it’s worth your time.

If you like character-driven zombie shows featuring canonically queer lead characters that raise genuinely interesting and complex moral and ethical questions about discrimination, health care, politics, self-identity, mental health, religion, and society in general…uh…you definitely need to be watching In The Flesh.

Cecil’s birthmarks changes shape and movement with his emotions - they flare up when he’s flustered or angry, hide under clothing when he’s scared or embarrassed, move rapidly when he’s excited, softer shapes for good feelings and rougher shapes for bad ones etc.

He’s kinda self-conscious about them since it’s like wearing your heart on your sleeve, but Carlos thinks they’re pretty (and also scientifically fascinating).

❝ There’ll be no flirting, that’s for sure. It’s not what this Doctor’s concerned with. It’s quite a fun relationship, but no, I did call and say, ‘I want no Papa-Nicole moments.’ I think there was a bit of tension with that at first, but I was absolutely adamant. ❞
